Where The Wild Things Are X Pop-UP Shop

In great anticipation for the silver screen production one of the world’s childhood favorites, Where The Wild Things Are, Space 15 Twenty in Los Angeles is currently hosting a great Where The Wild Things Are Pop-Up Store. A great space built and decorated for visitors to feel like they are Max running through the wild and having all sorts of insane adventures, the pop-up shop houses special Wild Things costumes designed by Christian Joy (who also created costumes for Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Karen O), Wild Things merchandise, related art work and goodies. Even if you are not looking to spend, the pop-up shop is a great piece of art worth visiting in itself. Lined with tree branch sculptures, fiberglass oak trees and sprawling with Sonny’s early sketches, the space is detailed and created with much appreciated effort. Do drop by the store, say hi and show your support for the folks on their good work and get wild for the movie. Though, if you do spend, a percentage of the proceeds will go to 826 Valencia, a great charity supporting children’s writing skills. Max will be proud. I loved the book growing up, I know I will love the the movie. check the trailer below.

The SUPER logo is now engraved on the decorative caps between the frame and the arms which are only visible when the sunglasses are closed, yesss indeed. Check out the SUPER eyewear HERE.

The Love Letter Project

Steven powers better known as ESPO has collaborated with the City of Brotherly Love for the "LOVE Letter Project". Love Letter is literally a love letter painted on the walls facing the Market elevated train. 40 local and international artists will paint the walls in august and the letter will be on view for one and all starting as early as Labor Day
The project will encompass 50 painted walls between 63rd and 45th street on Market Street, a documentary film with scripted elements, a sign school and shop that will provide training for area youth and free signage for businesses on the market street corridor, and 2 books documenting the project. One of the books will be a small paperback that will be distributed to area businesses free of charge, for them to sell to visitors. The other book will be a larger hardcover book that will document not only the artwork, but the neighborhood and the inspirations of the Love Letter Project.
